Alzheimer's disease and dementia have touched my family deeply, taking my grandmother, my step-father and mother-in-law, and most of my husband's aunts and uncles. I walk in memory of them and two close friends, Lois and Jim, who died with early onset Alzheimer's. I also walk in honor of their caregivers. Watching someone you love "disappear" from themselves is heartbreaking. There is no prevention and no cure for this disease.

More than six million Americans are estimated to have Alzheimer's today, and EVERYONE who has the disease WILL DIE of it or with it. There are no survivors.

Please join me to walk and/or donate to further research for a cure. Together let's find the first SURVIVOR!
