I am active with the Alzheimer's Association and travel to Washington and Harrisburg with them to fight for increased funding. Every 67 seconds someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer's and as the baby boomers continue to age, it is only going to get worse. That is why it is so important to find a cure NOW.
I greatly appreciate each and every person who has supported me over the years. If you know of anyone else who might like to donate and support me, please pass my link onto them. My mother and I have raised over $250,000 since we began walking together, which was the day after my father passed away, Oct. 19, 2002. I have been involved since 2000.
As an RN, I have also worked with many Alzheimer's patients and made myself available to their families or anybody who wanted to talk. I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the 2017 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(tm), I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I NEED your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with each and every one of us.
Thank you for your support.
