I first got involved with the Alzheimer’s Association in 2009. At the time my mother (Jean - on the left) was living with vascular dementia and my focus was supporting efforts to find a cure.
Since that initial run, my involvement has expanded over the years. I now lead BAYADA's partnership with the Alzheimer's Association, including co-captain of our national walk team and hold the position of vice chair for the Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter Community Leadership Board.
Today, my mother-in-law (Barbara - on the right) is living with advanced dementia and my initial focus has expanded to include advocacy for patients and access to care.
This is why I walk!
