Our 21st Alzheimer’s Walk in Rehoboth is Saturday, September 23; however, our team of 13 will be vacationing in North Carolina so we will do our Walk there! As usual we are walking in memory of Don’s Mom and our children’s grandmother, Blanche. We are also walking for all those we know who are suffering or have suffered from this disease. Did you know more than 6 million Americans are living with this disease? Between 2000 and 2019, deaths from Alzheimer’s have increased 145%. 1 in 3 seniors die with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. Some good news - In July of this year the FDA approved the drug, Leqembi, for the treatment of early-stage Alzheimer’s disease and Medicare will cover the treatment. Progress is being made!                         We hope you will consider a donation, so a cure can be found to eradicate this devastating disease.
