This is my 11th year participating in the Philadelphia Walk to End Alzheimer's!
Philadelphia has been the #1 team in the Nation for multiple years!! Help me continue!!
My grandmother, Celia, passed away from Alzheimer's in 1990, when I was just 3 years old. I do not remember meeting her as I was so young.
In November 2016, my husband's grandfather passed away from complications of dementia. It was so hard to watch him deteriorate from a well educated and wordily man to someone we couldn't even feed himself or hold a conversation.
I am walking for the loved ones that are currently living with this disease.
I am walking for the caregivers, such as myself, who are patient and kind enough to care for those with this debilitating disease.
I am walking for the future of me and my family.
I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the 2020 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's?, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with ME!!!!
