I worked at Keystone Villa in Douglasville for 2 years and over that time I became close to the residents, then some were diagnosed with Alzheimer's and could no longer do every day things or remember the people they love as well as us workers. I saw first hand the impact this disease has one everyone and would like to see the day when no one has to go through what these families did.

Australia had Steve Irwin, UK has David Attenborough, United States has Jungle Jack Hanna. On April 07, 2021 Jack Hanna's family announced that he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and his condition progressed faster than anticipated. He had a passion for wildlife conservation and education which is the core of who he is and everything he accomplished with the help of so many. He spent his life connecting people with wildlife because he believed that seeing and experiencing animals is key to engaging them in more impactful conservation.  

In honor of his commitment to protecting wildlife and the legacy he continues to leave for generations to come, I also dedicate my fundraising in his name.
