Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Caring for Mom Deakins has so many ups and downs! After 3 years of helping Mom stay in her house w round the clock aides we realized, after a bad fall, it was time for her to enter into a memory care place. We were not prepared for her feeling all alone even when surrounded by other residents. She does not know who we are but recognizes we are a familiar face 3-5 times a week and gives her individual attention.
