This past August 16th, marked 7 years since I lost my Dad to Alzheimers, and this will be the 8th year that my sister and I, including our families, will raise money and walk to support the efforts towards fighting this terrible disease. So many of you have supported me year after year and I truly appreciate the outpouring of support and know that you are helping to honor my Father's memory. While we lost my Dad 7 years ago, I really lost him (the real him) many years before that. Every day I question why he was struck with this horrible disease. Knowing my kids and my nieces won't get to know this amazing man, having them at all of their important moments in their life is so sad. I know that this walk is one day out of the year, but the money it raises towards Alzheimer's research and care for families could be life-saving. A cure was not found in my Dad's lifetime, but I truly believe that one will be found eventually and no one will have to lose their loved one years before their time. Please help me in raising funds to make this a reality. Any little amount can help and together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
