It's that time of year again for the annual Alzheimer's Memory Walk. My family and I have been walking in the Memory walk for  34 years now. This event is very important to me since my grandpa has died from Alzheimer's. When he was diagnosed we decided to form our own team. Today an estimated 5.3 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's. In addition, 78 million baby boomers are approaching the age of greatest risk for developing this fatal disease. Alzheimer's is the 6th leading cause of deaths and over 50 percent of people know someone who has had Alzheimer's. Thanks to you, our team has been able to raise the most money for the Portland area walk for 12  of the years we have participated and the top team/individual fundraisers in Bend for several years. We are very proud of this and wish to continue the tradition! We hope to raise $5,000-10,000 this year.
