In Memory of my precious Mom, Grayce Vanerio

Janis, Jeff and Trevor will once again join the Walk to End Alzheimer's to raise awareness and funds to support services for those with ALZ, and to fund research critical to stop this devastating disease.

Do you know that Alzheimer's is the only disease in the top 10 causes of death in America that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed?  It is the 6th leading cause of death in the US, and over 6 million Americans live with Alzheimer's or some form of dementia. Please help us to raise funds to fight this terrible disease that impacts so many - both those affected and their caregivers.

Grayce went to heaven on February 23, 2014.  Alzheimer's disease robbed her of enjoying her last several years of life, as it steadily stole Mom's memories, and damaged the ability of her brain to send basic instructions to her body.  My Dad lovingly cared for Mom in the earlier years of the disease, until his death in 2010.  I was blessed to have Mom with me after Dad passed, and to continue to give her the love and care she so deserved.  We all miss her very much, and know that she is now at peace and in the care of Dad and all those who have gone to heaven before her.

You can donate online via the link, or send a check, made out to the Alzheimer's Association using the mail in donation form.  If you are local to the Vancouver, Washington / Portland, Oregon area, consider joining our TEAM LOVE and WALK!!  This years walk will be held at Esther Short Park on 9/25.
