I'm walking to honor my sister, Ashley, who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers this past December. Not only is she my sister, but also my shopping buddy, my travel partner, my Hallmark Christmas Movie reviewer, and so much more. Alzheimers is a terrible disease and at the young age of 51, we have already seen the toll it is taking on Ashley and her family's life. It is Ashley's desire to use her diagnosis as a way to bring awareness to a disease that affects not only the elderly.

A t-shirt will be provided for everyone choosing to join our team and walking on Saturday, September 16th. (The Alzheimer's Association will provide a different walk t-shirt for people donating $100 or more) I will be reaching out to team members the week of August 20th to get t-shirt sizes and with info about events for that day. My vision is to have Ashley surrounded by friends and family wearing "Ashley's Allies" shirts as we walk and "go all in to defeat Alzheimers."
