We all have a "why" behind our Walk to End Alzheimer's. My "why" is my dad, Eddie Kephart. I am walking in his honor because I want to play a part in finding a cure for this horrific disease. I have seen firsthand how Alzheimer's has not only changed the life of my dad, but also the life of my mother. This disease steals our loved ones away from us and leaves behind a shell of the person we formally knew. None of us are immune from this disease.
This is "why" I walk. I will be the voice of my dad when he can longer use his voice. I will advocate on his behalf and do all I can to help find a cure so that one day NO ONE will have to live with the diagnoses of Alzheimer's Disease. I will continue to walk and donate until we can one day carry that glorious white flower that symbolizes, we have found a cure to Alzheimer's Disease.
