Friends,
A big part of why I raise money for the Alzheimer's Association is in memory of my mom, Lorraine. She was such a strong, independent woman, in spite of being blind for the last 30+ years of her life. She had dementia for the last few years - but nothing like some of the other individuals she lived with at her long term care community who suffered from Alzheimer's disease. Those were truly heartbreaking to witness. I want to be part of the solution for this disease.
