My Grandma Nimon was very special to me, and it grieved my heart to see her slow decline into dementia. I first noticed the blank stare at my wedding rehearsal in 1999. Over time, I noticed other telltale signs that something was wrong. I also saw my mom's frustration as a caregiver. Through it all, we loved her dearly even though she was eventually unable to respond to us. My precious grandma died in 2004, and I'm choosing to remember her as she was before dementia robbed her of her vitality and personality.
I'm walking in the hope of finding a cure for Alzheimer's Disease so other families won't have to endure the dementia journey that we did. Will you join me by making a donation today?
