The White Flower--This year is extremely special for my family as our daughters; Murphy, 3 and Blakely, 1, were chosen to hold the white flower together at the Toledo Walk to End Alzheimer's. The white flower is held by one representative (two this year :)) signifying the hopeful symbol of the First Survivor of Alzheimer's. As a parent, this is such an honor to have our girls chosen to stand on stage this October as we continue to raise funds to end this debilitating disease in memory of our Dad and Grandpa!
Murphy and Blakely never had the chance to physically meet their Grandpa. Dad never got to be a Grandpa holding all his grandkids. I do know he watches over my siblings, his grandkids and the rest of the family each and every day. We hope and pray the next generation are all the First Survivors!
That being said, Alzheimer's is a thief and I will do everything to aid in the fight to end this pain and sadness for other families, especially for my girls.
Help us by joining in the fight today! Thank you :)
