I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the Dayton Walk to End Alzheimer's®, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
My family has been stricken with this disease. I have an aunt who is living with this disease and has been in a nursing home for over 10 years. I have seen my mother put in many tireless hours at the nursing home caring for my aunt and the other residents.
Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050.
-
There are 2.5 times more women than men providing intensive “on-duty” care 24 hours a day to someone with Alzheimer’s.
-
More than 60 percent of Alzheimer’s and dementia caregivers are women.
I plan to Walk to End Alzheimer’s on September 30. My team name is Cedric D. Howard "Making Memories" Golf Classic. Please join me and help raise money for research to help eradicate this disease by joining my team. If you are unable to walk, please feel free to donate online at act.alz.org/goto.cedrichoward.
Together we can raise awareness and donate money for research in a quest to end this disease… My goal for this year is to raise $1,000.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
