There are a number of resources that make this journey possible.  #1. Patti lives at a Danbury facility...there are at least 18 other Danbury's in Ohio.  #2.  She is cared for by some incredible women who are always gentle and caring.  As you know, the salary for these aides is nowhere near what it should be.  #3. Patti has been enrolled in Hospice, an amazing resource.  I hope everyone learns that Hospice is more than simply "last days" services.  #4 And, then there's ALZ.org.  which has   Go to their web page and discover  information that will astound you.  

     On the last Saturday in September, Wooster will conduct their annual event.  This year's location is OARDC one of the research facilities of OSU.  It also happens to be one of Patti's favorite parks. Of course, it's a fund raiser, but it's also a gathering of families who share the same journey.  Whatever your donation, it will help Patti and many others.  ALZ is doing extensive research to find a "cure" even before this awful illness manifests its symptoms.
