My Dad, Larry Beougher, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 2013. Our family walked the journey with my Dad and helped Mom as his primary caregiver until he passed on October 31, 2018. We tried hard to keep a positive attitude and continued to make "memories" for us, and "moments" for Dad.

Holding my Dad’s hand as he passed from the cruel hands of Alzheimer’s into Heaven was an honor. When I think of him now, I picture him having many conversations with Jesus. Many questions will be asked, and many opinions will be shared. His body and brain are fully restored and I’m sure the chat will be quite bold!

Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
