Hello treasured Family and Friends!
Thank you for coming to my personal Alzheimer's Team page. Wow, what a year we have had, again! There are many stories of strength and healing in the midst of so much devastation.
The Alzheimer's Association vision is simple: "a world without Alzheimer's". This is why I volunteer & support this cause. There are no easy paths to attain this goal but I will persevere because the Alzheimer’s Association is making many important advancements! Through their efforts, $3.5 Billion is allocated to Alzheimer’s and Dementia research annually!
Currently, there are no Alzheimer survivors; Dad lost his battle with this cruel disease in January 2017. He stayed strong as long as he could and died surrounded by his loving family. I am the luckiest person in the world to have spent quality time with Dad before he died. Together, we went to museums, parks, restaurants, family trips, tours, and many times watched the plane activities at Lunken airport then went to Sky Galley Restaurant.
Alzheimer's Association programs educated me on the stages of the disease, the progression and gave me insight to what Dad was experiencing. On average, those with Alzheimer's live for 4 to 8 years after diagnosis but this terminal disease can last for as long as 20 years. Awareness of the disease is the first step to a cure! I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
I need your support! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease needs to come in our lifetime!
Love and good health to you and your family!
