Hello treasured Family and Friends!
Thank you for visiting my personal Alzheimer's 2022 Memory page. Mom passed away in April. She was a big advocate and supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association. I will continue her legacy to help end this horrible and cruel disease. Alzheimer’s never slows it’s debilitating progress in its victims.
The Alzheimer's Association vision is simple: "a world without Alzheimer's". This is why I volunteer & support this cause.
Currently, there are no Alzheimer survivors; Dad lost his battle with this cruel disease in January 2017. He stayed strong as long as he could and died surrounded by his loving family. I am the luckiest person in the world to have spent quality time with Dad before he died. Together, we went to museums, parks, restaurants, family trips, tours, and many times watched the plane activities at Lunken airport then had a meal at Sky Galley Restaurant.
I learned a lot from the Alzheimer's Association programs to informed me on the disease progression and to educate me on what Dad was experiencing. On average, those with Alzheimer's live for 4 to 8 years after diagnosis but this terminal disease can last for as long as 20 years. Awareness of the disease is the first step to a cure!
I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
Currently, more than 6.5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 13.8 million by 2060. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease can be achieved!
Love and good health to you and your family!
