Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in February, 2016, and we took over her care almost exactly six years later in 2022. Alzheimer's is a vicious disease, and so much more than memory loss. There is no cure, and there is no treatment, except for a few medications that just drag out the inevitable. My mother was the smartest, stubbornest woman, and she'd be horrified if she knew what was happening to her. Even though she's the not the mother I knew, she's very loved.
Please consider making a donation or registering as a participant and start your own fundraising. The Alzheimer's Association does good work, and provides a voice and a support network for our loved ones and those of us that are caregivers.
Thank you!
