Too many people we love are suffering and dying from dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Our family lost my stepmother Cheryl in 2020 to Early Onset Alzheimer's. Both of my paternal grandparents, Clete and Marjorie Quigley who lived to 100 and 97 respectively had dementia when they passed away. And my Uncle Tom Quigley was suffering from dementia whe he died. All of this loss occurred over only three years. Four loved ones. Three years.
Many people I talk to have similar stories. With so many advancements in medicine, how can this be happening? How can we stand by while a horrible disease with no successful treatment and no cure continues to take our loved ones from us? We need to take action to find a cure.
I am leading the Salesforce CLE Family & Friends team again this year in honor of my loved ones lost: Cheryl, Clete, Marjorie, and Tom Quigley, and all of those affected with the hope that with diligent support and research, there will one day be a treatment and cure for Alzheimer's.
Please make a donation if you are able and join my team for the Walk (no donation required). This year, the walk will be held at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on Sunday, October 2rd. Please join our team if you can. I would love to see you there. If you would like to make a donation, it will be put to good use.
Thank you for joining the fight and for your support.
Love, Louise
