Hello friends,

It’s my 11th year of walking (!!) and I’m hoping you'll help me to raise $1,000 to help provide care and support, and advance Alz research.

I've been with the Alzheimer's Association for over 10 years and in that short time I've seen some pretty amazing advances in awareness, funding, and HOPE for a cure/prevention! I need to do my part in continuing this momentum.

I meet so many wonderful people through work, most of them living with Alz, or caring for someone living with it. Some are in the early stages of the disease, living their lives joyfully, but with trepidation, while they and their families make the best of every single situation while managing the progression of the disease. Others are in later stages of the disease, doing their best to create moments of joy where they can.

Alzheimer's is NOT normal aging; it's a fatal brain disease. It's the 6th leading cause of death in the United States today and, of the top 10 fatal diseases in the US today, it is the ONLY one that has no way to prevent, cure or slow it.
