Until this disease is a part of your family, it is hard to truly understand what it means to live with Alzheimer's.  I was blessed to have an amazingly strong, witty and loving mother who enjoyed life right until the end when this disease finally took her away from us.  I'm even more blessed to have a father who is strong, kind and patient because as many of us know, this disease doesn't just stop with the patient.  We are walking as a family to raise awareness and support for a disease that needs a cure. Now.

Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
