Alzheimer's Disease not only hits home for me because of where I work but I also lost someone 20 years ago to Alzheimer's. I was young at the time and wasn't fully aware or comprehending what was happening. Being a child, a lot was also kept from me. I am able to remember my grandfather for the amazing man he was before the disease took him from us. 

A lot has changed since 20 years ago and the Alzheimer's Association is a huge contributor to that change. The support they offer to families and caregivers, along with the research involved to slow the progression in hopes of one day finding a cure. 

Please consider donating to the cause as on September 30th, I will be walking in support of all our residents at Glenwell living with the disease, the family members and caregivers and in honor of my grandfather, Donald Tate.
