In March 2013 at the age of 43, Amy, my wife and mother to our children Megan and Justin, was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's disease. We did our best to live, love and care for Amy and each other while the disease intruded deeper in to our lives. Sadly, on the first day of Spring, March 20, 2018, Amy passed away from Alzheimer's, freed from the clutches of this unrelenting disease.
Although our hearts remain heavy, we are committed to walking in honor of Amy and the many others who live with this disease. This year will be our 9th as Team Hugs4mom and our love for Amy motivates us to continue the fight against Alzheimer's. We hope to raise awareness, support research and promote hope, and look forward to the day when a meaningful breakthrough will be found.
My goal this year is $2500 and once again I ask for your support. Our family along with Team Hugs4mom looks forward to being part of the the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer's disease. Together, we can advance research to treat and prevent Alzheimer's, and provide programs and support to improve the lives of millions of affected Americans. Thank you for your continued support.
