Vaccinex has developed an experimental antibody therapy called “pepinemab” which blocks the function of a protein called SEMA4D, and the antibody is currently in clinical trials for Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases. I personally provide the reagents and technical support for these trials, and I love being part of something that has a direct impact on patient care.
