My Grandparents Mel and Christine were such a huge part of my life. They lived locally, and I spent much of my childhood at their house. I have never met people who were so loving and good to their family. I remember waking up to the smell of fresh bacon and eggs, which they would make for me (and my dog) every morning when I stayed over. As they got older, both were greatly affected by Alzheimer's disease. It was heartbreaking for my family and I to see them slipping away and losing a bit of themselves every day. The toll that it took on all of us was devastating. I am walking to raise funds for Alzheimer's in honor of them. I know they are looking down on me and smiling, hopefully with a fresh plate of bacon and eggs. Thank you for visiting my page and hearing my family's story.
