Oy, where do I begin? My story with dementia starts long before I was born. Dementia has, unfortunately, been in my family for three generations: my great grandmother had Dementia, my grandmother had Alzheimer's, and my mother recently passed (October, 2022) from Lewy Body Dementia. Whether or not I get it when I'm older is to be determined. One thing is certain: I refuse to sit here and do nothing.
By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association® to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
I won't let Alzheimer's get away with all that it's taken from me, and I'll do as much as I can to help other families going through this. The dementia journey is far too painful to do it alone. With your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or join my team and walk with me in October, which will be the 1 year mark since my mother's passing. Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease.
Thank you!
