Almost six years ago, my family and I lost my Grandmother Pasqualina to Alzheimer’s. Watching her go through this horrible disease was one of the worst things my family had to endure. If you knew my grandma, you knew how funny and witty she was. She always left you with a smile on your face, and she was one of those people that you could never forget.
It was my mother who originally organized our first walk and I have been doing my best to not only honor my grandma, but my mom as well. They may no longer be with us, but their memory lives through us all every single day.
