It has been over ten years since my father, Bernie Goldberg, passed away from complications of Alzheimer's. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and is greatly missed by the family. As I have done every year since his passing, I will again be walking in his memory to support the efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. This year we will once again be walking as a group at Benedict Farm Park.
The Covid pandemic has continued to severely impact the fundraising efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. However, the work of the association has increased as the pandemic adversely impacted the elderly and individuals with underlying conditions. Currently, over 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I am asking for your support to help me fulfill my commitment to the association! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
