I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050.
Both of my parents endured dementia at the same time. Although it always appeared they knew each other, the lifetime of memories they shared were gone forever. This disease stole their past, their dignity and their passion. In their honor, I raise awareness and funds for programs, services and research.
Mom loved butterflies and Dad loved hockey.
