Dear Friends,
We didn't really know the extent of Mom's dementia until Dad died. He was not there to enable her day to day functioning, and losing him seemed to accelerate the progression of the disease. Mom's spiraling into Alzheimer's brought beautiful moments but also heavy sadness. Alzheimer's shrinks lives, and then takes them. There is no cure.
More than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. But together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Our first goal is the first survivor.
Thanks so very much for your donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
