
Jack King opened his gym in Winston-Salem in 1976. He was trainer and guide to many for both personal and physical growth. As a competitor, he began his career in olympic lifting before transitioning to natural bodybuilding. He competed successfully into his 60s until his diagnosis with Alzheimer's. His gym remains open, run by Greg Jessup and Jerry Martin who were under his personal tutelage throughout the years. The members of Jack King's Gym keep his spirit of camaraderie alive. We honor him by carrying out his legacy of natural bodybuilding, lifting heavy weights, and following a fitness lifesytle
