This year will be my 5th year walking and raising funds in the fight to find the cure for Alzheimer's as well as all other dementias!
This year will also mark 4 years now that my mom moved on to heaven. To say that I miss her is an understatement. Everything makes me think of her; gardening, watching the sunrise on the beach, even antiques that remind me of something that looks similar to a thing she might have had at one time. She always had the strength to keep up with me so I will continue to carry the strength that she instilled in me to help find the cure to end this horrible disease and the devastation that it causes.
This walk, each year, reminds me that I am not alone in this fight. It reminds my dad he is not alone in it. It gives me hope, creates bonds, and raises awareness to find the cure. I hope you will join me.
