I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
2020 is dedicated to my Nana Metcalfe. She was a woman that brought sun into every room she entered. Anyone that knew her would picture her with a smile and a vibrant "Woohoo!" coming from her lips. She struggled with early dementia for about the last 9 years of her life. Even through that, she still loved her family more than ever. I miss her more than words can say.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease and allow people like my Nana to bring more sunshine to our world for longer. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
