Even though I was very young when my grandmother was diagnosed, I remember being frightened of her when I visited because I didn't understand her strange behavior. My parents also didn't understand the changes and it made it difficult for her to get the proper care.
I've witnessed this same situation with many of families that I work with today. Providing the education and resources that I wish my family had gotten, has become a passion for me. I want to help create a beacon of hope for those grappling with this disease and let them know they are not alone.
I ask that you join me in raising the funds to show that even in the face of darkness, the power of unity and the resilience of the human spirit can conquer any challenge. Together, we can end Alzheimer's!
