My story and association with the Alzheimer’s Walk and The Longest Day activities began over ten years ago when I was in graduate school to become a Speech-Language Pathologist!! I originally just walked, then added fundraising, and ultimately (a few years ago) I became a committee member and assisted in planning the Triangle Walk to End Alzheimer’s! This year I’ve moved on up to fill some very big shoes as the Chair of the Walk Committee. I have also participated in The Longest Day activities for the past six years. Each year I have proudly raised over $1,000 for each event and will continue to encourage family and friends to donate and participate with me every time a new opportunity arises. We are so grateful for any donation, no matter how big or small, and we hope you are able to join us for a walk near you!! Please accept my most sincere thank you for your ongoing support in our endeavor to find an affordable cure and our first survivor!
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association® to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you!
