Most of you probably know the story of my two very intellectual and amazing Grandmothers whose lives both ended with Alzheimer's diseases.  What you may not know is that I am a lot like them!  Don't laugh because I said they were intellectual and amazing.  :)  I am also built like them and read books voraciously like them.  I did well in school like them, and I love to make lists and travel like my Grandma Rowe did.  And this makes me worry sometimes when I forget things.  And that is the honest truth.  

Every year, I participate in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's care, support, and research.  My sister serves regularly on the planning committee.  We do it to honor our grandmothers.  I do it to honor the love and care my mom gave to her mother and mother-in-law through those difficult years, and I do it hoping it will not continue to be how stories end in my family and others'.
