Hello, I started participating with the Alzheimer's Association to raise awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research after my father-in-law Claude 'Dunc' Britt was taken from his family by this disease. 

Mr. Britt was the Patriarch of the Britt family. He was that large presence when he walked into a room. Oh, he could sing! If he wasn't singing, he was laughing. Children loved him, and the pocket of candy he always had for them. He loved his family! He was married to Mrs. Britt from the beginning of time it seemed. They had 7 wonderful children with beautiful families. It breaks my heart that he did not meet my grandson Liam. 

This disease took him from us. The toll that it takes on a person physically, not just mentally, is gut-wrenching.

As I mentioned, Mr. Britt is the reason I became involved. I remain involved because this disease is not going away. There are more and more family members that we have lost, before they pass away, to this devastating disease. 

I raise money so that we can find a cure and my grandson Liam does not have to worry about this disease. I raise funds for my family and for your family. 

Together, we can end Alzheimer's. We need your help to fight this disease. 

Currently, ONE of THREE Amerians DIES with Alzheimer's or another dementia. More than 6 million Americans are living with the disease. In 2022 Alzheimer's disease will cost the United States $321 billion! This number is projected to rise to nearly $1 trillion in 2050.

The Alzheimer's Association needs people like us, that have been affected, to raise money for caregivers, for research, for facilities to take care of our loved ones. They need people that have not yet been affected to save their loved ones from having to face this!
