The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is personal for me. My first experience with Alzheimer’s came with my grandfather’s diagnosis in the early 2000’s. Since then, I’ve walked the Alzheimer’s journey with entirely too many friends, family members, and clients. I’ve seen the toll it takes on caregivers and the challenge it is for those whose memories and abilities slip away as the disease progresses. The physical, emotional, and financial impact of Alzheimer’s cannot be overstated. It is, and will continue to be, among the most costly diseases afflicting our communities today.
Fortunately, the Alzheimer’s Association is working each and every day to stop this disease. They fund research that helps us to better care for our loved ones. We’re optimistic will one day soon, that same research will prevent us from being victims ourselves.
Each of us has a story to tell about the impact of this disease. The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
