I am participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's to honor my dad, Russ Martin. He was my hero - an amazing husband, father and grandfather who, as my kids always say, "never said a bad word about anyone." He was a constant source of strength and stability, ethical and moral example, smart as a whip, and extremely funny. We all strive to be like Grompie, as he was affectionately called by his grandchildren. On October 14, I will be walking in his honor - and hope to raise $1000 to help others dealing with this debilitating disease with 24/7 support and research.
