John "Jack" Patrick Simmonds
John "Jack" Patrick Simmonds, born May 30, 1961 passed away February 13, 2023 after a 12 and 1/2 year journey with Alzheimers Disease.
Jack lived an adventurous life, filled with journeys many had the pleasure of hearing stories about. He was a radio broadcaster, he was in musicals and plays, he worked many jobs, but his greatest legacy lies in his family he created. Jack married TinaMarie on February 15th, 1992, starting a family shortly thereafter. He and TinaMarie had 4 children, who he cared for at home as a stay at home dad. Jack brought immense joy to his children; a companionship, friendship, and mentorship that will be valued forever. Endless drop off and pick ups from sports, dance, piano, church, and a commitment to be the first one cheering them on. He was a fun loving father, who valued quality time at the park, flying his remote control planes, riding his bike with his kids, and jamming to good music. Jack was not only a light to his children, but to his wife TinaMarie. Their relationship overflows with exemplary love, compassion, sacrifice, and selflessness. Jack was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease in 2010, and fought that battle all the way to his last breath, never falling to another sickness or ailment. The disease took much of Jack, but he is finally restored as he stands at the side of Jesus.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, TinaMarie Simmonds; children, Johnathon (Jessica Mitchell), Brendan (Zoya Parsi), CeCelia, and Harrison; father-in-law, Paul E. Williams; siblings, Dr. Daniel (Nancy) Simmonds, Michael (Joyce Cohen) Simmonds, Mary Leisz, Kathy (Michael) Oldfather, and David (Maria) Simmonds; brother-in-law, Tony (Brenda) Williams; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by parents, Richard A. and Jean C. (Bofenkamp) Simmonds; mother-in-law, Marie D. Williams; grandparents, Ferdinand and Caroline Bofenkamp, Wesley and Zita Simmonds; grandparents-in-law, Carl and Edith Williams, Clarence and Esther Johnson, bothers-in-law, Dennis Leisz and Todd E. Williams.
