The personal affect that Alzheimer's has made on my family and the family of loved ones can't be overstated. The fear and sadness that dementia can create when it inflicts a loved one is valid, but there is also hope. Research, advances in treatment and control, and growing understanding of the disease help us in growing closer to a solution for the complexities of dementia.

But because Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping, neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
