SOBERING STATS-1/3 seniors will die with this disease
Alzheimer’s is hitting closer to home for many of my friends and I, it is time to join the fight. It is so hard to watch loved ones suffering from this terrible disease.
Every day is a new day with more questions and more repetition, sadness and confusion. It is so hard as a caregiver. Will it be my best friend today or will it be this person I do not know?
A couple days ago we had our first wandering. I didn’t think she would be one to wander because she doesn’t walk much. She walked out to her mailbox for exercise and decided she would try to walk to my brothers house a mile and a half away. I was on my way out to visit my neighbor picked her up on the road. She sounded so good on the phone when I told her I was coming out multiple times earlier in the day.
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you!
