This Walk to End Alzheimer’s is my first with mama gone. It makes her loss achingly fresh. It also makes my heart more determined than ever to walk toward a cure for this thief of a disease.

Firsts are forever a part of life— and God is always in the details. It was a most perfect February 1st for mama when she exhaled her last earthly breath and inhaled heaven’s sweetest healing. And now, on this October 1st I’ll walk to remember— and l’ll walk on behalf of those still in the battle. 

I have once again joined the team from Charlotte Stephenson Manor. These are the hearts that were bound with us to mama’s heart. The ones that laughed and cried and cared deeply for her. These same hearts fight and fund raise year around for a cure. Oh how grateful my own heart is for each of them!

Will you join us in the fight? Every bit of your support gets us closer to the end. Closer to the day when Alzheimer’s stealing days are over. Forever.
