The mission of the Alzheimer's Association is, "A World Without Alzheimer's and All Other Dementia's." I love this statement because my Mom suffered from vascular dementia, and while not Alzheimer's the devastating effects are the same.
I know you want to make a difference too and eliminate the devastation caused by Alzheimer's and all other dementia's. In order to do that we need to raise awareness and money for research. The problem is Alzheimer's is not a priority for federal funding and a lot of people think it's "an old person's" disease which makes us feel frustrated. I believe people don't know how they can have an impact and a voice. Like you, I'm frustrated which is why I'm Walking To End Alzheimer's.
