Hello! In March of this year, I lost my mom, my father having passed in August of 2021. In the end, both of my parents endured the suffering dementia brings. It was sad and painful for everyone, even as we focused on joy and loving moments. This year, it feels even more personal to me. I also work in a field where I witness the ravages of Alzheimer's Disease on a daily basis. As I do every Fall, I am walking in two walks here in northern Michigan and hoping that my friends and family will support research for a cure by donating to the cause. I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support. Please help if you can.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
