Although my story and experience with Alzheimer’s is now more than 5 years old, its impact stays with me. Shortly after his retirement, Steve was diagnosed and after a 7 year steady decline, this brilliant man died in 2018 of Alzheimer's at age 72.
I am grateful for the local support we received and walk each year in this major fundraising event in search of that first survivor - symbolized by the white flower in the picture to the right.
