My mother, Ellen, was stricken with Alzheimer's over 10 years ago. The effect it has had on my family has been profound. In hopes that future families do not have to face the same heartbreak, I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
My family and I have been very active over the past several years raising money for this cause. Thanks to all of you who have donated with us every year, donations have grown over the years, and we appreciate your support very much. However, during this same time period, we have watched our mother's health decline and witnessed first hand the devastating toll this disease takes on the mind and body of those afflicted. It is truly heartbreaking and renews my commitment to the cause each year. So, now in 2022, I am hoping I can continue to count on all of your support as we strive to reach our family goals and do what we can to combat this terrible disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please join me and make a donation using the attached link to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
